Q: Hello Madam, you are one of the 3 lucky winners of Africa Millions on Saturday 28 January 2023. You pocketed 23 million FCFA! Can you introduce yourself in a few words?
A: I am 29 years old, I am married and I have a small business in a neighbourhood in Bamako.
Q: How did you hear about Africa Millions?
A: I discovered Africa Millions because I saw a draw on Malian television.
Q: Did you used to play?
A: Yes, I used to play through USSD or in an agency near my home.
Q: Why did you play at that particular time?
A: The day before the draw I received a message on my phone. That day I had a total of 2,000 francs and I was in a very uncomfortable situation. I prayed and said to God: “You know my situation, you have never left a soul in pain. You alone can get me out of this situation, I beg you my lord, help me, I will be grateful to you all my life”.
I then went to bed.
The next day I had an urgent errand in town and as I passed the agency I thought I would try my luck, I went into the agency, chose my numbers, took my ticket and left.
Q: How did you find out that you had won?
A: The next day after the draw, I received a message telling me that I had won. I didn’t believe it, I went back to the agency and that’s when they confirmed that I had won.
When I heard the amount, I thought it was a dream. To this day I still don’t believe it.
Q: What were your first emotions?
A: It was a mixture of incomprehension, happiness and fear, but mostly joy and a lot of relief.
Q: What dreams do you want to achieve with it?
A: I want to rebuild my father’s house, which is not in good condition, and invest in my business.
Q: What message would you like to pass on to others?
A: I would like to thank all the people who work for Africa Millions, they help us to realise our dreams! I ask people who doubt it not to do so. It is a product that really exists, people are winning! Look at me, today I am about to change my life!
It is obviously a matter of luck, but believe in yourself and in God. Try your luck through USSD or an agency and one day you will be in my shoes!
